What are your best home or garden tips for this season?
Early March is a great time to start preparing your home’s plumbing for spring! Before spring rains arrive, test your sump pump by slowly pouring water into the pit and confirming that the pump turns on and removes the water. Once the risk of freezing has passed, get ready for gardening season by checking your outdoor faucets for winter damage. Turn on the water slowly and look for leaks outside or damp spots inside your home near each faucet.

What are your featured items this season? (sales, popular services, show specials, etc.)
Water Treatment- We will feature water treatment equipment and offer vouchers for free in-home water testing. Hot Water- We will feature hot water equipment to include tankless and heat-pump water heaters and offer free in-home water heater inspections.
What are your home or garden pet peeves?
My biggest pet peeve is hearing about homeowners who felt pressured rather than helped by a plumber. That includes pushing replacement before considering repair, not explaining all the options, or recommending a water heater or water treatment system without first inspecting the home and understanding the customer’s needs and expectations. Good plumbing service should start with listening and honest advice—and leave homeowners feeling informed and confident, not pressured.
What is the strangest client request you've ever received?
Years ago, we installed a shower faucet for a very unique and artistic client. The client had a stone lion head sculpture and wanted the shower water to come out of the lions mouth. We modified the sculpture to fit over a custom shower head. It was beautiful!
What is your favorite part about the home show?
Our favorite part of the home show is giving out our toilet-shaped stress ball to everyone that stops by our booth!
Why do you love the home show?
We love the opportunity to meet so many new people and answer all of their plumbing questions.

Where do you look for inspiration for your home or garden projects?
I love exploring new materials, techniques, and ideas from magazines, websites, and trade partners.
What is the biggest home or garden mistake you’ve seen someone make?
Investing in a new water heater or water treatment system without understanding the home’s needs. The most expensive option isn’t always the best—and sometimes a repair is enough.

Tell us something you’ve learned about running your business in the last 5 years
A great customer experience starts with a great team. I’ve learned to focus on training, clear expectations, and supporting our people rather than trying to do everything myself.
What do you personally hope you see at the Home Show next year?
I’d love to see more hands-on demonstrations that teach homeowners what to maintain, what warning signs to watch for, and when to call a professional.
What’s one thing (key message) you hope attendees take away from visiting your booth?
BMP provides residential and commercial plumbing services throughout Central Pennsylvania, from repairs and water treatment to new construction. Our core values—Honor, Courage, and Commitment—guide everything we do.
