VISITOR TIPS
Make the most of this year's Home Show!
When to Go
Beat the crowds by planning your trip on a weekday after 3 p.m. The shuttles won't be running, but parking and traffic will be much easier to navigate. Seniors, take advantage of the discounted admission price of $5 (save $3) for Senior Day, Monday, February 25. This day only, everyone can enjoy FREE parking, compliments of Capital BlueCross.
How Much Time?
Arrive at least two hours before closing time. We've found that most
browsers need a couple of hours to tour the exhibits. Because the Home Show
gives you a chance to shop and compare in one place at one time, even the most
focused visitor can lose track of time. Use our new Create
Your Own Show feature
to map out your route in advance so you know exactly where to go when you arrive.
What to Bring?
If you're seriously shopping for a contractor or ideas, be sure to bring paper
and pen so you can take notes. Bring any relevant measurements or material
names to assist you when talking shop with suppliers and contractors. The HBA
will provide you with a bag to assist with collecting flyers and brochures.
Because children may tire from walking, we encourage the use of strollers and
backpacks.
What to Wear?
Dress appropriately for the weather. You can check your coat at the entrance,
but the complex is cool in some areas. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as
there is a lot of ground to cover.
Can We Eat at the Show?
The Farm Show Complex operates several food concessions during the Show.
Where Can I Get Help?
Got a question? Look for our volunteers with the large "Ask Me" buttons. You can also check at the Show Office located in the North Hall. |

Are There Activities for Children?
The first day, Saturday, February 23, is Mascot Day. Throughout the Main Hall, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., mascots from several area schools and businesses will be there to greet your children and make them feel at home.
The second Saturday, March 1, is Kids’ Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., sponsored by Home Depot. In the Small Arena, with parent participation, children ages 5–12 will be able to build a free Home Depot project to take home. Plus, Tall Cedar Clowns will be roaming the Show to entertain young and old alike!
